WSPARCIE DLA OŚRODKA W MERU

Szanowny Panie Gubernatorze,

Od roku prowadziłem Fursa Children Centre, w którym staraliśmy się zapewnić dzieciom z ulicy dach nad głową, wyżywienie, edukację i opiekę zdrowotną. Objęliśmy opieką 33 najbardziej potrzebujących  dzieci. W związku z zamknięciem ośrodka w Isiolo, pragniemy przenieść swoją działalność do Meru. Liczymy na większą przychylność władz w Meru i wsparcie, jakiego nie znaleźliśmy w Isiolo.

Fursa w Swahili znaczy "szansa" albo "możliwość". Chcemy tym dzieciom, które nie miały ani łatwego startu, ani możliwości rozwoju, tak jak dzieci z normalnych domów, dać szansę lepszej przyszłości, niż ta, którą proponuje im ulica. Kluczem do tego jest poczucie bezpieczeństwa, opieka oraz edukacja, którą im oferujemy. Chcemy wspierać ich w realizacji ich marzeń - każde z tych dzieci ma własne plany i wizje na przyszłość. Nie można im tych marzeń odbierać; przy odrobinie pomocy można je zrealizować. Chcemy zobaczyć je kiedyś jako dorosłe osoby, które prowadzą normalne, szczęśliwe życie. To jest nasze największe życzenie.

Nie będzie to możliwe bez wsparcia Pana, lokalnych władz i mieszkańców Meru. Otwieramy w Polsce fundację, która będzie zbierać środki na utrzymanie dzieci, cieszymy się również coraz większym zainteresowaniem i zaangażowaniem ludzi dobrej woli, nie jesteśmy sami.

Po otwarciu Organizacji Lokalnej w Meru zamierzamy założyć nowy ośrodek. Chcemy odzyskać przedmioty, które należały do ośrodka w Isiolo, które teraz przejęło państwo. Tym dzieciom będą one bardzo potrzebne, spieniężone nie będą wiele warte.

Liczymy na deklarację Pana Gubernatora, że będzie Pan działał na rzecz wsparcia naszego ośrodka, aby te dzieci nie znalazły się ponownie na ulicy. Pisemna odpowiedź z zapewnieniem wsparcia z Pana strony dałaby nam szersze możliwości do dalszych działań.

Dear Mr. Governor,

For almost a year I have been working in Fursa Children Centre. Fursa was a rehabilitation centre for the street children of Isiolo-Kenya intended to provide the children with safe accommodation, food, education, medical assistance and drug counselling in order to satisfy the primary needs associated in a healthy lifestyle. We managd to give support to 33 most suffering children.
Because of the closure of the centre in Isiolo we would like to move our organisation to Meru. Here, we hope to find support that we did not find in Isiolo.

Fursa in Swahili means "chance" or "possibility". We want to give these children a chance of the start better than one they would get on the street. The key to their future is a sense of security, protection and education that we would like to offer to them. We want to strenghten them in fulfilling their dreams - every child has own passion, plans and vision for his future. We cannot take those dreams from them; with a little help we can make them happen. When they grow up, we want to see them having normal, happy life. This is our biggest goal.

All this will not be possible without support of Mr Mayor, local authorities and the people of Meru. We are launching a fundation in Poland, that will raise funds for children needs. We are happy to see that there are more and more people supporting us; we are not alone.

After opening Community Based Organisation we will open a new Children Centre. We want to get back assets and properties that belonged to Fursa Centre in Isiolo, that the goverment took from us. Moneywise they are not that valuable - for children they are priceless.

We hope for Your declaration of support, that you will do whatever is in your power to assure us, that these children will not end up on the streets again. Your written assurance will give us a mandate for further actions.
